Born on the southern shore of the Apnex Sea, son of Commander Yhea ir'Apnex Tralak, who commanded the IRV Stelam, a Battle Cruiser, and died in 2305 when a star went nova while the ship's drive was off-line. S'Taerv grew up in a traditionally military family. At the earliest age his mother would allow, his father taught him to fish, swim, and hunt. S'Taerv spent hours as a young man in the forested foothills behind his home, hunting the wild syrinx through the woods. At age 23 he was recruited for the Romulan Star Navy, and enrolled in the Romulan Military Academy for Officer Training. He graduated in the top three of his class, and took two extra years of Military History and Anthropology. He was immediately assigned to the IRV Deleth as Navigation Officer, and remained aboard the Deleth for eleven years. In 2317, he was promoted to erie'Arrain and transferred to the Deleth's Engineering Division for making vital emergency repairs to his Riov's shuttle while on an Away Mission. He continued in the Engineering Division until 2320, when he was promoted to Erie'Riov and transferred to the IRV D'Deridex, which he served aboard as Chief Operations Officer for five years under Riov Tomalak. In 2329, the D'Deridex was involved in a classified incident along the Star Empire's Core-ward border in which he was seriously injured, and sent to the Military Hospital on Ch'Rihan. He spent two years there recuperating, where he met his wife Ael, and they were married only a few months later by Riov Tomalak, who also served as best man. He was assigned to the D'Deridex once again, but this time the ship's new medical officer accompanied him. Ael and S'Taerv served aboard D'Deridex for seven years, with S'Taerv as First Officer and Ael as CMO. Until 2338, when Ael and S'Taerv were sent to Ch'Havran to Romulan Military Command School. S'Taerv blew through the courses, recieving scores in the top places of his class in each course, and graduated in 2341 to be given command of the IRV Khellian, a D'Deridex Class-A Warbird. After a traditional 8 years' service "defending" Ch'Rihan (getting used to his crew, ship, and commanding a Warbird), his hand picked crew (with his wife as Chief Medical Officer), was soon sent to the border of Federation, Romulan, and Cardassian space to deal with the volatile situation brewing there. The Dominion War broke out just three weeks later. Ael nearly died in combat against the Jem'Hadar, shot to death in her sickbay while tending to a patient. After being transferred to Ch'Rihan for seven months to let her recover, S'Taerv continually requested--and recieved--assignment to the front lines of the Dominion War, and the Khellian accounted for over 50 enemy vessels in the course of the War, twenty of them battle-cruiser size or more. He was then sent to the Rihannsu Military Academy to teach Command Tactics and Military History for seven years, until he was recently reassigned to the newest Khellian, D'Kazanak Class as it's commander. The Khellian is the flagship of the new 9th Gallae, defending the RSE's coreward borders from a shadowy threat.

Background Info: Born into a traditionally military house on Romulus, Deletham aspired to be a Riov like his father. He entered the Romulan Military Academy after a suitable education. He graduated in the top two percent of his class in command decisions, tactical ability, piloting, and strategic planning, but did not do as well in the scientific and medical fields. After serving aboard his father's Warbird, the Khellian, for two years, he transferred to a Scout Ship assigned to the Neutral Zone at his father's request. The reason is not known, as anyone who asks has usually ended up hospitalized. He served there for two years, detecting the USS Enterprise during the Iconia Incident. He was then transferred to the Tactical Station of the IRV Gasko, detecting an apparently crew-less Federation runabout that he identified as the USS Rio Grande. Later, the Gasko fought at Chin'Toka, accounting for over a score of Jem'Hadar and Cardassian vessels. After that, he transferred to a Star Fortress on the Cardassian border, where he destroyed six Galor-Class Warships and numerous Jem'Hadar fighters in a border conflict. He was decorated for valor and has requested assignment to a Warbird ever since. Deletham speaks at least five languages fluently, including Rihannsu, Terran, Klingon, Vulcan, and Terran French. He is also trained highly in ground combat operations, having helped the Gasko's crew repel Jem'Hadar borders at Chin'Toka.
